I can now confirm the details of the Legends of Kalidasia events at Youmacon 2011 and it will be a Kalidasia packed weekend. Grinder free for all battles will kick off on Saturday around 10:30 AM and run until a little bit after 4PM. After I get some dinner, It will be time for the main event. Beginning at 5PM, Surakari Forces will attack the moon of Minex Five. Pick your side and prepare for a chaotic battle which will affect a future battle in the Minex Five system.
The warfare continues on Sunday as I will be running Grinder Free for All battles from 10:30 AM until 4PM when the game room closes. Also, if you want to create your own scenario, stop by and I will help you put something together.
I post all the details about the Grinder Free For Alls once Youmacon gets a little closer. All events will be played with a release candidate of the Admiral Rules pack. The game room is located on the fifth floor of the Marriot Hotel and in a room I will later announce.

In addition to a selection of advanced rules, the Admiral Rules Pack will also introduce four new warships. Two of the warships will be variants on existing hulls while the other two warships will be new classes with all sorts of new rules. It’s still early in play testing, but I think my most favorite new unit will be the new Heragul Sabre Heavy Bomber.
Featuring what will certainly be a tactic changing weapon, the term Heavy Bomber is probably not an accurate title, but it sounds cool. In reality, The Sabre is a mine layer which deploys a powerful weapon called a Thermal Bomb. Mine weapons inherit some of the abilities of missile weapons, but they can’t move unless an enemy warship is nearby. When deployed in squadrons, the end result are mine fields which hinder enemy movement choices and work to box them in.. Just as a note, in the image to the right, the reactor tokens are stand ins for the Thermal Bombs, which do not have finished artwork yet.

After a few games of internal play testing, the Admiral rules pack is getting closer to the first public version. Some of the changes that will be part of the final set include:
Other than several new rules, the Admiral Rule’s Pack will also include four new classes of warships and at least three new equipment cards. If you are interested in publicly play-testing the admiral rules pack and live in the Detroit, Michigan area, please subscribe to our mailing list for the latest announcements.

The next planned product in the Kalidasia Universe is planned to be called the Admiral Rules Pack. It will feature several option rules to expand on the current version 1.1 ruleset.
Currently, the goals of the pack are:
The final set of rules to be included in this pack is far from final, but play testing is currently underway. Here are a few teaser pictures:
While the damage cards will be the same, Damage seems to be more clustered….
Battles will continue to be up close and personal.
I wonder what this template is for? I’ll give you a hint. It’s six inches long on each side
Hmmm….I wonder why a warship might have an arrow next to it?

Legends of Kalidasia: Silex Road is done and now available on the Amazon Kindle Store. You can purchase the e-book for $0.99 through the store on the actual Kindle device or through any of the Kindle Apps on other mobile platforms. I’m planning to launch on other e-book stores very soon.
Silex Road tells the story of Abbi-Sian as she leads a platoon of Heragul soldiers into ground combat against Surakari forces and in the process discovers there is more to this desolate waste land of a planet then she ever imagined.
